My passion for copper smithing began during an apprenticeship at Old Sturbridge Village from 1975 to 1986. I worked as a tinsmith and interpreted 19th Century New England history to over a quarter of a million visitors annually.
Achievements: Earned numerous awards for my work as an artist ranging from trade magazine publication articles to an invitation to make a Christmas tree ornament for the White House's Blue Room Holiday tree during the Clinton administration. I was self-employed as a coppersmith from 1993 to 2001. My artwork is important to me and I continue part-time using open studio weekends and select venues in the Montpelier and Burlington, Vermont areas to sell my work.
