Sandy Morningstar Presents: Prenatal & Perinatal Psychology
What impact does pregnancy and then birth have on us? It is a wild journey. Explore, with Sandy, the science and theory of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology. Is it possible that the birthing process does not leave an impact on our body, mind, and soul? Do people remember their birth? Be prepared to discuss these topics with Sandy.
Ron Thompson Presents: Masterful Life Performance
Ron uses the metaphor of performance to help understand how we can get "unstuck" in our creative process, especially when it involves expressing our creativity and presenting creative work to others. Ron will explore the relationship between emotional tension and peak performance, the role of love-based spirituality and unconditional positive self-regard in the creative process, and how to invite the expansion of creative expression. Ron believes that, in spite of negative life experience, we can regain our creative essence, our unbridled freedom to make creative choices.
Wendy Stofan-Halley Presents: Navigating Chaos
Have you found yourself wondering: Is it me or is everything spinning out of control? Please join local author Wendy Stofan Halley for an informal lecture and discussion addressing the seemingly growing amount of chaos in our lives, the community and the world. Wendy will weave together the disciplines of shamanism, psychology and indigenous prophecy in order to help us increase awareness and better manage and make sense of the chaotic energy on the planet.
Dhiresha Blose Presents: Myofascial Release
Fascia is a very densely woven, tissue that covers every muscle, bone, nerve, artery and vein as well as all of our internal organs including the heart, lungs, brain and spinal cord. It is not just a system of separate coverings, it is actually one structure that exists from head to foot without separation. Through this system, each part of the entire body is connected to every other part, like the yarn in a sweater. When we experience physical trauma, scarring, or inflammation, however, the fascia loses its pliability. It becomes tight, restricted and a source of tension to the rest of the body. Myofascial Release is an effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions of the body to eliminate pain, restore motion, and promote health. Dhiresha will discuss more about the myofascial system and how restoring the body's rhythmic energy flow releases internal blocks to healing.
